Slow Food DC and Clyde’s Restaurant Group join together to celebrate their 10th Annual Farm dinner, a once-a-year event that honors our local farmers and artisans. Hosted at Clyde’s Willow Creek Farm in Broadlands, Slow Food members and friends gather to sip wines and to stroll the property to see Clyde’s raised-bed garden, where all their veggies grow. Then they sit down to a splendid four-course farm dinner with matching wines, prepared by Corporate Chef Brian Stickel and Willow Creek Farm’s Chef Nathan Thomas.

Speakers for this event include Chris and Sarah Guerre, organic farmers from Great Falls, owners of Maple Avenue Market in Vienna – 2011 Snail of Approval recipient. They also operate a mobile food-farm truck that delivers fresh farm goods to many local neighborhoods. Also speaking Ann Brody, co-founder with Mitch Berliner of Bethesda’s super-popular Bethesda Central Farm Markets. Clyde’s very own beekeeper, Patrick Standiford, will speak about the importance of bees and crop-growing.
